The bubble refers to the point in the tournament where only a few players must be eliminated before everyone remaining secures a payout. Effective bet-sizing strategies during this stage require balancing aggression and caution to exploit opponents while protecting your stack.

One key strategy is to use small bets to maintain pressure on medium and small stacks. Players on the bubble are often more cautious, trying to avoid elimination. By keeping your bet sizes smaller, you can force folds without risking too much of your own stack. For example, raising 2.5x the big blind instead of 4x can achieve the same result against scared players while conserving chips for later stages.
