How to stay alert

Staying on top of your account security doesn’t have to be complicated. We’ve set out some clear, practical tips to help you sidestep the pitfalls and keep your ACR Poker experience secure.

Beware of phishing emails. These fraudulent emails often come from addresses that resemble legitimate addresses such as winning.poker@network or WPNpoker@winnningpokernetwork.com. Please review the list of our official email addresses below.

Check if your email has been compromised. Verify whether your email has been exposed in a data breach by visiting https://haveibeenpwned.com/. If your email address has been compromised or is part of a data leak, you should consider changing your email address.

Beware of social engineering. Information you share in public groups like Discord and forums might later be used to gain your confidence and trick you into surrendering your personal information.

Be mindful of P2P transactions in online poker. Unscrupulous players could exploit your interactions in cross-network P2Ps to extract sensitive information such as your email. Once in possession of these details, they may seek to win your trust and deceive you.

How to protect yourself

Enable 2 Factor Authentication. Take advantage of the 2FA feature. From the Poker Lobby, go to Settings >> 2FA. This adds an extra layer of protection and will ensure that only you have access to your account.

Choose a strong password. Your password should contain letters, numbers and special characters. Use strong password generator software to increase the complexity of your password.

Change your email address. If your account has been compromised, it’s wise to change your email address.
