A Tournament to Remember
The $1,500 Main Event attracted 325 entries, smashing the $200K guarantee and leading to a prize pool of $438,750.
Before the final table got underway, Lindsay shared her excitement, remarking, “Energy is really high, and that, to me, makes a tournament fun. Obviously, I want to win, but I like to have a good time, and being in such a beautiful location makes it even better.”
Her enthusiasm clearly translated into stellar play. Lindsay entered the final table tied for the second-largest stack and navigated her way to victory, ultimately defeating Canada’s Duff Charette heads-up for the title.
Milestone Achievement for ACR Pro
As an ACR Pro, Lindsay’s triumph in Aruba marks several significant milestones in her poker career. This victory represents her first six-figure score, a testament to her growing prowess at the tables. The substantial win also pushes her live tournament earnings over the impressive $875,000 mark, solidifying her status as a formidable player in the poker world.
Additionally, this win adds a second ring to Lindsay’s collection, complementing the WSOP-C ring she won online two years ago. These achievements underscore Lindsay’s continued success and her value as a representative of ACR.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t Lindsay’s first taste of success in the Caribbean. In 2015, she claimed a $50K victory aboard a Royal Caribbean poker cruise, showcasing her consistency in tropical settings.
A Star-Studded Event
The Moneymaker Tour Aruba Main Event featured some notable names in the poker world. While fellow ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker (the tour’s namesake) fell short of the final table, his presence added to the event’s prestige.
