Our biggest tournament of all time got underway yesterday (Sunday), and to say that it did not disappoint would be a huge understatement. In case you missed it, Day 1A of the $12.5 Million Venom wasn’t just the talk of the poker world, it was actually record-breaking.
With 1,689 entrants in all, the $12.5 Million Venom kickoff ended up having the biggest turnout ever for a Day 1 in our history! Among the impressive turnout were ACR Pros Jeff Boski, Ebony Kenney, Chris Moneymaker, and Jon Pardy, adding to the competitive spirit and prominence of the event.
When the intense action wrapped up at the end of Day 1A, 310 players successfully secured their spot in Day 2, which is scheduled for Monday, April 29th. TIKITAKA11 racked up 6,491,871 chips to take the lead in the tournament. LappyPoker sits in second with 5,285,292 chips, diegowushu is in third with 5,105,281 chips, and ACR Pro and WSOP champ Chris Moneymaker rounds out the top four with 5,093,090 chips.
