The $12.5 Million GTD Venom was guaranteed to be our biggest tournament ever, including three $1 Million prizes, but even we didn’t know how big it would turn out to be!
The amazing news is we just finished our final Day 1E yesterday and it was an incredible turnout with 1,638 entrants. That meant the total entrants over the five Day 1’s reached 5,045, putting the final prize pool at $12,612,500 and beating the guarantee!
This is an amazing achievement considering we predicted an overlay just late last week. However, our incredibly-strong worldwide player base won out and we just surpassed the $12.5 Million guarantee in dramatic fashion.
Now, Day 2 begins today at 1:05pm ET. And two of them in the top-10 are very familiar faces with ACR Pros, Monika Zukowicz (HeyMonia) in 5th place with 5,768,925 chips and Chris Moneymaker (MONEYMAKER) in 10th with 5,093,090 chips.
Today’s Day 2 is sure to provide some incredible action. Day 3 will then take place tomorrow (Tuesday) and play all the way down to the Final Table of nine players.
