The $12.5 Million GTD Venom came to a dramatic conclusion last night with player: ‘Texxassss’ winning our biggest tourney payout ever at $1,818,040. This was also the biggest event in our history, beating the guarantee with a record $12,612,500 final prize pool.
‘Texxassss’ is actually 4-time WSOP bracelet winner, Dominik Nitsche. He is originally from Germany and now living in Scotland.
One of the big storylines heading into the Final Table was that ACR Pro, Chris Moneymaker was in 6th place with 139,678,023 chips. The former WSOP champ ended up finishing in 6th, which was still a great achievement.
Nitsche started with Final Table with 158,681,385 chips (4th place) but was able to emerge victorious after several hours of exciting action in a truly impressive performance.
‘Push0rdie’ and ‘Anzuelitico’ also pocketed over $1 Million for 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. This is the first time that our Venom tourney guaranteed three $1 Million prizes.
