Sunday Recap: High Five finishes on a high note with two $1 Million tourneys

We wrapped up our $14.4 Million High Five Tournament Series this weekend with a pair of $1 Million GTD tourneys, but that was just part of the story.  If you didn’t hit the ACR Poker tables this weekend, see what you missed in our August 27^th Sunday Recap.

$1,000,000 GTD Blunt Roller  

1,770 entrants played in Sunday’s massive $1 Million GTD tourney. When it was all said and done, the final prize pool hit a whopping $1,062,000 in this $630 buy-in tourney, which had 214 paid places. The top three after a two-way final table deal:

$300,000 GTD Warm Up

Sunday’s $300K GTD Warm Up was piping hot with 3,143 total entries. That resulted in a final prize pool of $314,300 in this affordable $109 buy-in unlimited re-entry tournament. Congrats to the 383 players who cashed. The top 3:

$300,000 GTD Mystery Bounty

Our $300K GTD Mystery Bounty tourney had 27,084 entries throughout the High Five Tournament Series, which caused the prize pool to balloon to $406,260, including $203,130 worth of bounties. Here are the top three prize winners following a final table deal in this $16.50 buy-in event:

• firkflakk-> $18,282 + $580
• Noblesse0blige-> $16,928 + $280

Yet the biggest winner was unblock, who finished 70^th overall but won a mystery bounty of $30,080 on top of the $290 regular prize. Clutchj finished 122^nd but won a $15,180 mystery bounty plus $176 in regular prize money.

$250,000 GTD Sunday Special 

With 1,270 total entries, Sunday’s $250K unlimited re-entry tourney was about as special as you might expect. 162 players got paid in this $215 buy-in event, which had a final prize pool of $254,000.  The top three:

Our other $1 Million GTD tournament was a two-day High Stakes special event.  The action resumes today (Monday, August 28^th).  The remaining 65 players will compete for their share of $1,157,500, with the winner taking home $249,763.
