The ACR Stormers battled it out for the past month to see who will win a $110,000 package to play some of the biggest buy-ins in the world in a series in London, England!
When the dust settled, the ACR Stormers package winner was German born, Manuel ‘NeverfoldQ5’ Zapf. You can find him live on Twitch most days at www.twitch.tv/NeverfoldQ5
We got a chance to sit down with Manuel to find out more about the man himself!
“My name is Manuel Zapf and I was born on November 24th, 1984, in Bremen, Germany. I currently live in Ireland with my amazing wife Camilla and our almost 5-year-old son, Maximilian.
Right after finishing school, I realized that my chances of making a living through sports betting were quite low, despite my favorite team (Werder Bremen) winning the German Championship and the German Cup in 2004. That’s when I decided to explore poker.
I quickly moved to Austria and delved into the live poker circuit, participating in exciting events like the European Poker Tour (EPT) and even a World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, although my results were a bit questionable (unfortunately, I busted out of the WSOP Main Event early on, in Level 2).
In a stroke of luck, I met my wife, Camilla, in a Karaoke bar in Malta, right after being eliminated from a €300 Side Event of the EPT. That particular bustout became one of my most memorable experiences.
Approximately 2.5 years ago, I started streaming my poker sessions, taking a one-year break in between. I’m thrilled to be back now, interacting with the vibrant Twitch community, especially the amazing ACR Stormers community.
When it comes to poker idols, I have to mention Phil Hellmuth. His success is inspiring, but more importantly, I believe that the poker tables need more characters like him—people who bring excitement and personality to the game.
Aside from playing poker and streaming, I’ve also had the opportunity to provide commentary alongside my dear colleague and friend, Andrew John Hedley for the Poker Festival Series and the WSOP Circuit at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in Nottingham.”
We look forward to seeing Manuel representing ACR Poker in London. We wish him all the best!
