We’re excited to congratulate the winner of our flagship event, S1NISTRO, who emerged victorious in the $8 Million NLH Mystery Bounty Venom. His impressive performance earned him a staggering $613,547 in prize money, plus an additional $135,000 in bounties.
Following his monumental win, we had the opportunity to sit down with S1NISTRO to discuss his experience and thoughts on this life-changing victory. Read on to discover what the champion had to say about his remarkable achievement and his journey.
Congratulations! How does it feel to win this Venom?
I’m very happy, as it’s a dream come true and a huge milestone in my career.
What was going through your mind when you realized you had won it?
I was prepared for some great result, in my head there was a feeling of duty accomplished.
Can you share a bit about your overall experience? Are there any specific memorable hands or moments that stand out to you?
It was an incredible experience, the structure of Venom is very good, I love playing this tournament, I’ve been trying it for a while now. The hand with 45o from the Small Blind. The hand of 66 in which I made a full house on the river and several other hands marked this tournament for me.
How do you plan to celebrate your win?
I celebrated by having sushi with my wife, and I intend to organize some barbecues with friends who have been present in my career since the beginning.
What are your future poker plans? Do you have any upcoming poker tournaments or goals you’re aiming for?
I have a lot of plans for poker. I want to play all the Venoms for the next few years. I intend to continue working and studying in the same way I do. I intend to continue playing my daily tournaments and some big special ones that I think are good. That WSOP Bahamas tournament that had a satellite, I almost satellited it here on the platform, I came in seventh and only had five complete packages.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What is your name, age, and where are you from?
My name is Carlos Rocha, I’m 32 years old, I’m married and I have a daughter. I live in Cascavel-PR in Brazil. I’ve been playing poker since I was 16 years old. I have been a professional poker tournament player for over 10 years and I also teach poker classes. I love this game and what it gives me as a person, the learnings, the challenges and many lessons learned.
