On Thursday, November 7th, we hosted the ACR Pro / Ambassador Meet-up Game, giving poker fans of all skill levels the opportunity to sit across the (virtual) tables from poker legends like Chris Moneymaker, Chris Moorman, and other ACR Pros, for an unforgettable online event.
Storage Wars stars and ACR Ambassadors Rene and Casey Nezhoda also joined the fun, alongside popular YouTuber FrankieCPoker, who streamed the action on his channel for fans to enjoy. For those who missed it, here’s a recap of some of the day’s top highlights and memorable moments.
Fans tune in for live poker action on Twitch
The event was a hit, drawing in lots of players across cash tables ranging from micro to high stakes, with each game broadcast live on ACR Poker’s Twitch channel. With a peak of 212 viewers over three hours, poker fans from all over tuned in to see players challenge ACR Pros and Ambassadors, eagerly watching for big plays and friendly banter. Live commentary, on-the-fly reactions, and unforgettable moments kept the stream exciting, bringing fans closer to the action.
“The meetup game was tons of fun,” said Michael Loncar. “I enjoyed watching the stream when the other ACR Pros were streaming as well and can’t wait for the next one!”
Full tables and player interest
The response from fans wanting to play alongside the pros was off the charts, and we added some extra tables on the day so everyone could have their turn. The micro and low-stakes cash tables were especially popular, with most stakes at capacity throughout the day. The turnout and waitlist showed how much these opportunities mean to the poker community.
“The meet-up game we just had was awesome. It brought a lot of attention to the lower stakes and games that normally don’t get shown, and it was good for player interaction,” Moneymaker commented. “We had a lot of people from the stream coming on and playing with us. I think it’s a really cool concept, and a good way to engage with the fans of ACR.”
Table highlights, and unforgettable slow roll and bold bluffs moments
One of the standout tables featured action at $2/$4 stakes, where some of the event’s biggest pots took place. Viewers also got to witness some unforgettable moments between the pros themselves. A fan-favorite was when Chris Moneymaker pulled off a classic slow roll against not one, but two of his fellow ACR Pros Jon Pardy and Rob Kuhn. The playful moves had Moneymaker laughing, reminding fans that poker is not just about competition—it is also about having fun. Another memorable highlight was an epic bluff between ACR Pros Ana Marquez and Rob Kuhn.
“I had so much fun playing the meet up game with the team and all the people that participated,” said Marquez. “One of my favorite moments was playing the $2/4 and getting a big bluff through Rob Kuhn. I can’t wait for the next cash game session with all of you again!”
Fan and community engagement
Ongoing fan engagement added to the atmosphere throughout the stream. The Twitch chat was buzzing with hundreds of comments and reactions from fans discussing hands and cheering on players, adding to the interactive and community vibe on the day.
“The meet up game was fantastic! It felt like a cool new way for us to connect with our community, both on and off the tables. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next one,” shared Ebony Kenney. “I had no major stand out hands and played lots of smaller pots but the fun of playing with the community at ACR made it so much fun for me.”
