It’s been four years since the poker pro earned his last bracelet
World Poker Tour (WPT) announcer Tony Dunst made a remarkable transition from the broadcast booth to the online poker tables on Sunday night, securing a significant win. The seasoned poker professional earned his third World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet by triumphing in the WSOP Online Event #15: $500 No-Limit Hold ’em Deepstack. This victory brought him a prize of $134,886. He was among 420 players who cashed in this large-field event.
Dunst’s previous bracelet win was in 2020, also in an online event due to the absence of a live World Series of Poker that year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. His inaugural WSOP title was claimed in 2016 at the Rio, where he won $339,254 in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold ’em event, marking one of his largest live tournament earnings.
Now a three-time bracelet winner, Dunst, who lives in Las Vegas and plays under the screen name “Panoramic,” also achieved a min-cash in another online event this summer. He clinched the bracelet by defeating “vevere” in a heads-up match, with the runner-up taking home $96,316.
In addition to his online poker achievements, Dunst is a well-known poker commentator, teaming up with Vince Van Patten. He took over from the late Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton as Van Patten’s co-commentator in 2017 and has been in that role ever since. Before his play-by-play duties, Dunst was known for hosting the edgy “Raw Deal” segment on the World Poker Tour’s televised episodes.
Besides his success in the broadcast booth, Dunst has been a consistent performer in live tournaments, amassing over $4.2 million in cashes, according to The Hendon Mob.
