The annual charity poker tournament will be held on April 26 at the PokerGO Studio
Celebrities from film and television are set to gather in Las Vegas later this month to support a cause close to many hearts. The One Step Closer Foundation is hosting its annual charity poker tournament, All In for CP, on April 26 at the PokerGO Studio. The event aims to raise money for cerebral palsy research and support services, with several well-known names already confirmed.
Among those participating are actors Ted Danson, Montel Williams, and Jennifer Tilly. Tilly, who has long been active in the poker world, recently made the final table at the Big Deal for One Drop charity event in late 2024. They’ll be joined by Joe Cada, the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event champion, making the table a blend of Hollywood and professional poker talent.
The tournament features a $1,000 buy-in and will follow a 50/50 format, where half the prize pool goes to the winners and the other half benefits the charity. The event is open to the public, though seating is limited. Registration is available through the foundation’s website at 1scf.org.
Jacob Zalewski, who co-founded One Step Closer with Sam Simon in 2007, shared on social media that proceeds from past tournaments have helped fund research, hospitals, scholarships, and support programs for those affected by cerebral palsy. He emphasized that this year’s event aims to continue that momentum and reach even more people.
The One Step Closer Foundation has become a recognizable name in the poker community for its commitment to blending charity with competitive play. More celebrity appearances are expected to be announced soon. The event also comes ahead of other charity tournaments planned in Las Vegas, showing how poker continues to be a powerful tool for fundraising and community support.
