With Wright now calling the action, the show looks to continue as a staple of poker entertainment

PokerGO is adding a major media personality to its broadcasting team, as Nick Wright officially joins the hit show “No Gamble, No Future.” Known for hosting “First Things First” on FS1, Wright will now serve as a co-host alongside Brent Hanks for the show’s upcoming season. He steps into the role previously held by Jeff Platt, who recently departed to focus on World Series of Poker coverage.

The 41-year-old Kansas City native has built a reputation as one of the most outspoken voices in sports media since joining FS1 in 2017. Beyond his sports commentary, Wright has become a familiar face in the poker world over the last few years. He notably challenged Phil Hellmuth in 2021 on “High Stakes Duel III” and recently competed in the 2025 National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Wright’s transition from player to host on the show comes shortly after he participated in some of its biggest televised moments. He recently appeared at the table to face off against poker legend Antonio Esfandiari, a session that resulted in the largest pot Wright has ever played. His experience as both a broadcaster and a high-stakes amateur player brings a unique perspective to the commentary booth.

Since its 2022 debut, “No Gamble, No Future” has featured legendary names such as Daniel Negreanu, Patrik Antonius, and Jennifer Tilly. The show is known for its wide variety of stakes and entertaining lineups that often include non-poker celebrities.
