Laplante added his second Global Poker trophy by winning the SC 33 GOAT 22 event
The GOAT VI series on Global Poker is off to a thrilling start, with players vying for their share of a massive GC 965,000,000 and SC 2,230,000 prize pool. The series, which runs until August 4, features a range of tournaments for players of all skill levels, with the top performers in both Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin categories earning coveted seats in the GPC Season Finals.
Since the series kicked off on July 15, several players have already claimed victory. Notable winners include “BigSack23,” “Letmedonkyoualil,” “Boverb56,” and “FlushMe2Tears” in the Gold Coin category, and “Kreaken,” “Penta,” “LondonE,” and “RPH” in the Sweeps Coin division.

One of the standout performances came from poker pro Ryan Laplante, who secured his second Global Poker trophy by winning the SC 33 buy-in GPC GOAT 22 event. The accomplished live player, known for his expertise and coaching, added another title to his impressive resume.
Other players who have enjoyed early success in the series include Dean “TheArtist2” Foster, a tattoo artist who won a GC 5,000,000 guaranteed event, and streamer Chris “Ab Aeterno” Meyers, who triumphed in a Mystery Bounty event. PokerNews’ own Kyle “KAA17” Anderson also made a strong showing, winning a 73-player SC event and securing a notable finish in The Super.
With the series still in full swing, there’s plenty of time for players to climb the leaderboards and secure their spot in the GPC Season Finals. Both the Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin leaderboards offer attractive prizes, with the top finishers receiving the most significant rewards.
