Zinno claims it’s nothing more than a simple misunderstanding of the facts
Anthony Zinno has finally spoken up after being accused of swiping $19,000 from another player’s bag at the end of the WPT World Championship festival in December.
Zinno posted a comment on X (formerly Twitter) Thursday morning, denying the allegations brought forward by fellow player Corel Theuma, and said that more details will be revealed “after the legal matter finishes.”
I'd like to share some thoughts, and I'll provide all details after the legal matter finishes:

Zinno described that after Day 1B of a $3,000 buy-in event at the WPT World Championship, he noticed an unattended bag as he was getting ready to leave the table and took it in an attempt to return it to the rightful owner.
He then decided to take the bag to the lost and found at Encore Las Vegas, and that was the end of it. He said he saw the cash inside the bag but didn’t touch it. “I absolutely deny what is being alleged,” declared Zinno.
Theuma gave his side in a January 29 X post, saying that when he realized he had left his bag at the table, he ran back to the poker room to find it was missing, and nobody he asked had seen it. He called the casino’s lost and found the next day, who said his bag was there, but it only contained $1,000. After picking it up, he filed a police report.
Police corroborate most of Theuma’s story, but some details are different. For example, Theuma posted on X that he left the Encore ballroom to go outside and catch a cab, while the police report says he told them he went to use the restroom and “had to” leave his bag at the poker table.
Police are still investigating the incident, and Zinno hasn’t been formally charged with a crime.
