Dnegs was reportedly mentioned as a great source for learning how to play poker
Daniel Negreanu has confirmed that his name appears in the recently released Epstein files, addressing the issue directly after the documents became public. The poker star shared the clarification himself, aiming to shut down speculation before rumors could gain traction.
Welp, looks like I made it into the Epstein files, but they butchered my last name.
Didn’t have this on my bingo card! 😂https://t.co/rLDv8uCUFC

Negreanu explained on social media that several people contacted him after spotting his name in one of the documents. He noted that the reference was not even spelled correctly, appearing as “Negranau,” which already raised questions about context and accuracy.
According to the file, Negreanu’s name appeared in an email exchange involving Jeffrey Epstein and an associate following a poker game. The message mentioned poker strategy and suggested watching an instructional video by Negreanu to improve one’s game. There was no indication of personal interaction or involvement beyond that casual reference.
Negreanu reacted with humor, saying the mention was not something he ever expected to see connected to his name. He made it clear that the reference had nothing to do with Epstein’s criminal activities and did not suggest any relationship between the two.
The Epstein files stem from a new federal requirement that ordered the Justice Department to release unclassified materials tied to the case. The release includes millions of pages of documents, along with videos and images, leading to renewed scrutiny of anyone mentioned, regardless of context.
Epstein, a financier with extensive social connections, pleaded guilty to a sex crime involving a minor in 2008 and later faced federal charges in 2019. He died in custody that same year while awaiting trial, leaving many questions unresolved.
