The controversial player has been accused of similar actions in the past

The BSOP Millions Super High Roller in São Paulo delivered high-stakes drama, but much of the attention shifted away from the cards when Martin Kabrhel became the center of controversy once again. During the R$500K (US$100,000) Main Event final table, local favorite Renan Bruschi confronted the Czech player and accused him of allegedly marking cards and engaging in collusion. The exchange, captured on video, spread quickly across social media and reignited long-standing concerns surrounding Kabrhel’s table behavior.

Footage showed Bruschi openly challenging Kabrhel, with Mehdi Chaoui present during the tense moment. Kabrhel reacted with visible disbelief and defended himself, maintaining that he has never cheated.

These types of allegations have followed him in previous high-profile events, though he has consistently denied all claims and has never been investigated. Still, the incident added another layer of intensity to what was already the most expensive tournament in South American poker history.

The tension carried into a later hand when Kabrhel and Bruschi clashed preflop. Kabrhel moved all-in with pocket nines, while Bruschi tabled pocket jacks. The flop brought Kabrhel a set, prompting him to leap from his seat and celebrate loudly in his trademark fashion. His outburst drew reactions from both players and spectators, who were already on edge given the earlier accusations.

However, the turn shifted everything. A jack hit the board, giving Bruschi a higher set and leaving Kabrhel nearly drawing dead. The river sealed the outcome, and Kabrhel was eliminated in fourth place for $400,000. The crowd erupted with cheers and jeers as he exited—some acknowledging his play, others expressing clear frustration with the day’s drama.

The confrontation overshadowed much of the final table and added fuel to an ongoing debate about etiquette, fairness, and enforcement in high-stakes poker. While no formal ruling was made on the allegations, the moment will be remembered as one of the most heated in BSOP Millions history.
