Andrew Lichtenberger has proven himself a master in PokerGO Cup events

Andrew Lichtenberger captured another major title after winning the final event of the 2026 PokerGO Cup. The Las Vegas-based professional topped a field of 52 entries in the $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em finale. The victory earned him $257,400 and his ninth championship on the PokerGO Tour.

Known online as “LuckyChewy,” Lichtenberger continues to add to an impressive poker career. The 38-year-old now has more than $25 million in recorded tournament earnings. This win also marked his second PokerGO Tour title of the year, following a victory earlier in the season during the PGT Kickoff series.

The tournament built a prize pool of $780,000, with the top eight players reaching the money. Early eliminations included Jeremy Ausmus and Joey Weisman, who both exited late on the opening day. Six players returned for the final session inside the PokerGO Studio.

Lichtenberger quickly gained momentum during the final table. Brock Wilson was eliminated in sixth place after Lichtenberger completed a flush to secure the knockout. Soon after, John Krpan was also sent to the rail when Lichtenberger’s pair held up in a multi-way pot.

The run continued when Lichtenberger eliminated Joe McKeehen in fourth place. McKeehen, the 2015 world champion, committed most of his stack before the flop. Lichtenberger improved to a straight during the hand, ending McKeehen’s deep run.

Three-handed play began with Lichtenberger holding a large chip lead over Art Peacock and Sam Soverel. Peacock finished third after Lichtenberger paired a nine on the river to take the pot.

Heads-up action between Lichtenberger and Soverel featured several big swings. Soverel briefly held the advantage before Lichtenberger regained control. The final hand saw Lichtenberger’s ace-ten improve to two pair against Soverel’s king-jack, securing the trophy and closing the tournament in style.
