Kristen Foxen shipped the final event of the PokerGO Tour Kickoff series
Kristen Foxen took down the final event of the PokerGO Tour Kickoff series, beating 50 entrants in the $10,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em event over Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu heads-up to take $165,000, increasing her career live earnings to $7,872,216.
Foxen’s 12th career title was the second at a PGT event. Her biggest career score was at a $25,000 buy-in 2019 Poker Masters festival tournament for $408,000. Foxen moved up to 13th in the 2024 Global Poker POY race standings and is second in the PGT season rankings, with 429 total points and $214,275 in earnings.
The PGT Kickoff series final event ran from January 15-16 at the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The top eight players split the $500,000 prize pool, with bracelet winner Dylan Linde ($20,000) finishing eighth and two-time bracelet winner Eric Baldwin taking seventh place ($20,000).
Negreanu had the Day 2 chip lead, with Foxen in fourth place, just ahead of her husband, Alex Foxen. Bracelet winner Masashi Oya finished sixth for $30,000, followed by Alex Foxen, whose wife eliminated him in fifth place for $40,000.
Aram Zobian’s deep run ended after Negreanu eliminated him in fourth place for $50,000, and Sam Laskowitz would finish in third place at his fourth final table of the year to win $70,000.
Foxen held a 4,265,000 to 3,235,000 chip lead over Negreanu, extending her lead before the final hand, where she would flop a pair of jacks to win the title over Negreanu’s king high, sending him home with $105,000 as runner-up. Negreanu has over $51 million in career tournament earnings, which is seventh on poker’s all-time money list.
