Vierling added $328,273 to her growing bank after outlasting 1,467 players
13 events are in the books at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) series running at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, which will also host the 2024 WSOP Tournament of Champions beginning this week
The top 164 finishers at the WSOPC Commerce Main Event split the $2,222,505 prize pool, the fourth largest of the season, and were guaranteed to take home at least $4,184. Jessica Vierling navigated through 1,467 players to earn the championship in the $1,700 Main Event for a career-best $328,273 payday and her second WSOPC ring. The win also increased her live tournament earnings to over $1 million.

Vierling joined Christina Gollins, Sally Stephens, and Kathy Chang as the other women to win championships at this year’s series. Gollins also secured her biggest cash after winning The Housewarming Opening Event for $105,444. Stephens took the title at the inaugural senior’s event for $20,782, and Chang won $13,286 after taking the $600 buy-in Limit H.O.R.S.E. tournament.
Sean Yu, Arnie Friedman, and Alex Massman were also big winners in Los Angeles. Yu took his career winnings to over $3 million after securing his ninth ring in the $400 No-Limit Hold ’em event. Friedman took the Mystery Bounty event for $47,880, earning over $10,000 more in bounties, and Massman won his first ring and $83,897 after coming out on top in the $1,100 No-Limit Hold ’em event.
After 26 stops on the 2023/24 WSOP Circuit domestic schedule, Michael Persky is the only player to win two Main Events. He took the $1,700 Graton Main Event in August and the $1,700 Thunder Valley Main Event last October.
