The German poker phenom continues to run deep, decades after getting his start

German poker phenomenon Fedor Holz continued his remarkable run of success on the high-stakes circuit by capturing his fifth career Triton Super High Roller Series title. He navigated a highly competitive field of 111 entries to win the $40,000 buy-in mystery bounty event at the prestigious Triton Montenegro festival.

With this latest victory, the young champion solidified his status as one of the most dominant players in the history of the tour. The win elevates his overall earnings from this specific tournament series past $21.8 million.

The massive turnout for the two-day tournament generated a total prize pool of $4,440,000, with half of that aggregate amount allocated specifically for the mystery bounty rewards. Holz secured a payout of $528,811 from the regular prize pool after defeating his final opponent in a strategic heads-up battle. In addition to the standard prize money, he accumulated 11 bounty envelopes, ensuring that he will add at least $440,000 more to his final haul once the drawings take place.

The final day of play began with 23 competitors returning to the felt, but only 17 players successfully advanced past the money bubble to secure a payout. Holz played a pivotal role in the early action by orchestrating a double-elimination that burst the money bubble and sent the remaining field into the cash positions. Several prominent high-stakes poker veterans fell during the subsequent march toward the final table, which set the stage for an intense shorthanded battle.

During four-handed play, Holz gained a massive chip lead by winning an enormous pot with a rivered flush against a trip-queens holding. He then eliminated the fourth-place and third-place finishers in rapid succession to enter the final showdown with a commanding chip advantage. Although his opponent briefly mounted a resilient comeback to take the lead, Holz ultimately reassumed control, sealing the victory with a pair of queens to secure another historic trophy.
