The Rhode Island casino is getting an upgrade that it hopes will attract more poker players
Bally’s Corporation and Maverick Gaming have joined forces to establish the Bally’s Maverick Poker Room at Bally’s Twin River Casino & Hotel in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This strategic partnership brings together Bally’s regional casino expertise with Maverick’s established presence in the poker world, led by accomplished player and Maverick CEO Eric Persson.
While financial details remain undisclosed, the agreement promises an exciting new poker destination for Rhode Island players. The Bally’s Maverick Poker Room will cater to a wide range of skill levels, hosting daily tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $450 alongside classic cash games.
This collaboration isn’t the first time Bally’s and Maverick have crossed paths. In 2020, they competed for the Eldorado Casino Hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. While Bally’s ultimately secured that property, the two companies clearly share a vision for the poker industry. Notably, Persson has made appearances on Bally’s Big Bet Poker, a program showcasing high-stakes poker action.
The Bally’s Maverick Poker Room signifies Bally’s commitment to enhancing the Twin River experience. This investment follows a $60 million renovation project that included the addition of non-smoking gaming areas. These improvements are part of a broader $100 million investment pledge by Bally’s to revitalize both its Lincoln and Tiverton, Rhode Island properties.
Poker enthusiasts in Rhode Island can look forward to a vibrant new venue with a welcoming atmosphere and diverse offerings. Bally’s and Maverick Gaming’s collaboration has the potential to solidify Bally’s Twin River as a major destination for poker players in the region.
