Landon Tice and Jeremy Becker are going to take each other on during this year’s WSOP

Landon Tice and Jeremy Becker, two of the next potential poker greats, have agreed to a 100% crossbook in at least 25 events played together this summer. The bet was organized by poker legend Daniel Negreanu, and a hot streak for either of them could result in disaster for the other and their fans.

A crossbook is a side bet between players participating in the same event, where the player who loses owes the winner a percentage of that player’s net winnings in the event. However, in this instance, if Becker and Tice play in the same event this summer and one busts for $0 and the other cashes for $100,000, the winner would be owed $100,000. If the loser cashes for $25,000, they would owe the other $75,000, and so forth.

Details must be sorted out, but the bet will be a 100% crossbook in a minimum of 25 events this summer at the WSOP and other series, with buy-ins of $10,000 or less. The two have agreed to a $250,000 cap for each event, meaning a $500,000 payday for one player would cost the loser only $250,000.

Negreanu recently called out Solve For Why founder Matt Berkey after he criticized Jonathan Little and a hand played by Negreanu on a PokerGO stream. Negreanu threw some shade toward Tice during the disagreement, helping to plant the seeds for the impending challenge by encouraging him to “break free of the handcuffs” of Solve For Why and hire a poker coach who “could actually take you to the next level.”
