Negreanu made it to the final table before being sent to the rail

Daniel Negreanu hosted the annual Keep Memory Alive Charity Poker Tournament last weekend in Las Vegas. The event took place at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and featured more than just poker. It was an exciting night, full of recognizable faces in the industry, always looking to help those in need.

Attendees enjoyed fine dining, wine, and spirit tastings, live entertainment, and a raffle offering premium prizes. The tournament, co-hosted by poker legend Jack Binion, drew notable figures from the poker world, including 2013 WSOP Main Event winner Ryan Riess, Joey Ingram, and emcee Sean McCormack.

The $800 buy-in event featured a mix of professional players, local personalities, and enthusiasts, all competing for prizes and supporting a worthy cause. Kid Poker made a strong run, advancing to the final table. However, his journey ended as the first casualty among the last nine players after losing a critical coin flip. Despite falling short of the top spots, his presence added excitement and prestige to the event.

The tournament’s structure awarded prizes to the top three finishers. Riess narrowly missed out on a payout, finishing in fourth place. Third place claimed a VIP package to a Las Vegas Golden Knights game, while Women in Poker Hall of Famer Terry King battled retiree Greg Bruce for the title. Bruce, holding a commanding chip lead, secured victory and the $10,000 top prize. King finished as the runner-up, earning a luxury prize package worth nearly $9,000.

Proceeds from the event supported Keep Memory Alive, which funds research and caregiver support for patients with brain disorders. The venue, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, added an artistic flair to the charitable evening, situated near the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

Negreanu’s deep run, combined with the event’s success, reinforced the poker community’s commitment to philanthropy while delivering an evening of competitive play and camaraderie.
