The move could mean that poker will be added to the prediction markets platform

Kalshi operates under the oversight of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which distinguishes it from many decentralized competitors. The platform lets users buy and sell event-based contracts tied to outcomes in politics, economics, culture, and beyond. Everything from elections to global business rankings can become a tradable market, blending finance with the psychology of prediction.
Negreanu is launching his partnership with a major promotion: one follower will receive staking to the WSOP Paradise Main Event, including nine nights at the Atlantis Royal resort. He will also be streaming both his poker play in the final stage of the GGPoker WSOP Online series and his experience using the Kalshi platform.
Prediction markets have grown rapidly, with Kalshi recently valued at as much as $4 billion. Its main competitor, Polymarket, built on blockchain technology, has hosted markets related to poker before.
Kalshi has yet to do so, but Negreanu’s involvement could open the door to that possibility. Given poker players’ appetite for betting on almost anything, poker-themed markets could easily resonate with Kalshi’s expanding user base.
Negreanu’s star power is expected to draw attention not only from poker fans but also from a broader audience curious about prediction markets. With his proven ability to engage communities and create conversation, his new role as a Kalshi partner underscores the growing crossover between poker, speculation, and financial technology.
