While Negreanu is done, over 200 players remain in the hunt in the record-setting event
Daniel Negreanu’s run in the $25,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event finally came to an end after one of the most talked-about re-entry efforts of the series. The Poker Hall of Famer fired ten buy-ins before walking away, putting a spotlight on just how wild the format became in the Bahamas.
The WSOP Super Main set a hefty guaranteed this year and looks ready to hit it 👀@RealKidPoker has done his part with TEN entries but he's also trying to keep those prize pools going by bringing new people into the game – like @HilaKleinH3 and her H3 family!@GGPoker… pic.twitter.com/9E4BUQ0m61

The event shattered expectations long before a winner will be crowned. A massive field of 2,891 entries pushed the prize pool to more than $72 million, easily clearing the original $60 million guarantee. Unlimited re-entries helped fuel the growth, with many top pros taking repeated shots at the $10 million top prize.
Negreanu was one of the most visible players doing just that. The seven-time bracelet winner documented each attempt through his daily vlog, giving fans a front-row seat to the emotional swings of firing bullet after bullet. His tenth entry finally made it through Day 1, allowing him to advance into the later stages.
That run ended in 134th place, good for a $55,000 payout. After surviving the money bubble, Negreanu bowed out quietly and spoke about how common large re-entry totals had become. He noted that several players were in for more buy-ins than he was, making his own investment far from unusual in this field.
The cash pushed Negreanu’s live tournament earnings to just under $57 million, keeping him among poker’s all-time leaders. He also picked up solid results earlier in the series, adding more than $600,000 from two Triton events.
