Dvoress tackled another No Limit Hold’em event to further his poker dominance
The high-stakes poker community witnessed a significant achievement as Daniel Dvoress secured a major victory at the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Monte Carlo. By winning the $27,000 No Limit Hold’em event he pushed his lifetime live tournament earnings past the $50 million mark.
This accomplishment places him in an elite group of only 13 players globally to reach such a staggering financial total in live competition. Dvoress entered the tournament with approximately $49.7 million in previous winnings and his latest success further solidifies his reputation as a dominant force on the international circuit.
The tournament attracted a competitive field of 64 entries, which generated a total prize pool of over $1.6 million. Competition remained fierce throughout the event, with only the top nine players receiving a portion of the funds.
After the bubble burst, several notable professionals were eliminated, including Andras Nemeth and Alisson Piekazewicz, who both earned substantial five-figure sums for their deep runs. The pressure increased as the field narrowed to the final five participants, where Adrian Mateos and Isaac Haxton exited with payouts of $135,000 and $176,000, respectively.
The final stages of the tournament saw Teun Mulder finish in third place for $229000, leaving Dvoress to battle Ben Tollerene for the title. Before concluding their heads-up match, the two players negotiated a deal to distribute the remaining prize money. Dvoress eventually claimed the top spot and a prize of $459338 while Tollerene walked away with $435000 for his second-place performance.
This victory not only adds another title to the resume for Dvoress but also elevates his standing on the all-time money list where he continues to rank among the most successful players in the history of the tour.
