With multiple high rollers and side events producing big fields, EPT Paris proved to be a key stop on the calendar
The 2026 European Poker Tour Paris wrapped up at the Palais des Congrès with plenty of storylines beyond the main event. While Jorge Abreu claimed the biggest title of the series, several high rollers delivered headline performances in the closing days. One of the biggest standouts was American pro Brandon Wilson.
Wilson continued his strong start to the year with two major victories in Paris. He first captured a €25,000 (US$29,000) high roller for $235,811, then followed it up days later by winning the €10,300 (US$12,000) high roller for $789,066. The second event drew 352 entries and created a prize pool just under $4 million.
The final table featured several familiar names. Wilson eliminated 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Hossein Ensan in third place before defeating Austria’s Klemens Roiter heads-up. The win pushed Wilson to the top of the 2026 Player of the Year race and lifted his career earnings past $11 million.
France’s Antoine Labat also celebrated two victories during the festival’s final week. He won a €2,100 (US$2,500) hyper turbo freezeout and later added a €5,150 (US$5,900) six-max title. Labat, who previously reached the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event, added more than $160,000 combined to his résumé.
Another highlight came in the €3,250 (US$3,770) mystery bounty event, which attracted 782 entries. Frank Lagodich claimed the trophy and earned $359,145, including bounty prizes. The deep run marked one of the largest scores of his career and boosted him up the Player of the Year standings.
