The UK poker pro now has seven WSOP titles to his credit, the same as Daniel Negreanu and John Hennigan
Benny Glaser is making headlines early at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), capturing his second gold bracelet of the series just 10 days in. His most recent win came in Event #15: $1,500 Mixed Omaha Eight-or-Better, where he topped a field of 1,239 players to take home $258,193. This latest victory marks the seventh WSOP bracelet of Glaser’s career, placing him in a tie for seventh on the all-time list alongside Daniel Negreanu and John Hennigan.
Glaser had already secured a bracelet earlier in the series by winning the $1,500 Dealers Choice event. With two titles now under his belt this summer, he continues a tradition that dates back to 2000: at least one player winning multiple bracelets during a single WSOP.
The path to the title in Event #15 wasn’t easy. Glaser had to overcome a competitive final table, including David Shmuel, who was also chasing his second win of the series. The heads-up battle against Travis Pearson was a test of endurance and focus. Pearson built a sizable chip lead at one point, but Glaser stayed composed and turned things around after the final break. A rivered wheel proved pivotal, shifting momentum fully in Glaser’s favor.
Reflecting on the match, Glaser said the break helped him reset mentally. “I tried to clear my head and focus on the hands ahead,” he explained. His experience paid off, as he managed to outmaneuver Pearson in the final stages.
With more than 75 events still remaining in the 2025 WSOP, Glaser is in a strong position to chase a historic third bracelet this summer. Only six players have accomplished that feat in a single year. Whether he joins that elite group remains to be seen, but Glaser is clearly off to one of the hottest starts in the series.
