The casino hopes the move from Bravo will deliver a more player-friendly environment
The Wynn Las Vegas, home to one of the premier poker rooms on the Strip and the host of renowned series like the Wynn Millions and the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship, has announced it is switching from Bravo Poker Live, the official app of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), to PokerAtlas.
Founded as AllVegasPoker.com, PokerAtlas was launched in 2004 by Jon Friedberg, a WSOP bracelet winner. PokerAtlas is used by other Las Vegas Poker rooms, such as the Sahara, Westgate, and Resorts World, as well as cardrooms in Texas and New Jersey. It offers players a more straightforward signup method to participate in cash games and live tournaments and provides various features like live chip counts for ongoing events.
Players will no longer need to phone in to register, and all tournament information can be accessed easily using the PokerAtlas app. Users will also earn COMPDOLLARS on PokerAtlas that they can redeem for exclusive benefits like meals and guest activities at Wynn Las Vegas.
Ryan Beauregard, Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas, recently told PokerNews that he’s been watching PokerAtlas’ progress for several years before deciding to make the transition.
“Also, the tournament payout process will be faster and easier for players, an undeniable benefit for large events like our Summer Classic or the annual WPT Championship,” said Beauregard. “With our operational knowledge and shared drive to improve the player experience, I believe this partnership will fuel innovation and be a step forward for the poker industry.”
