Both players scored a pair of victories each during the series
Two Italian poker players have enjoyed a lucky streak at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) this week, both securing their second career bracelets. Taking place in Rozvadov, the event has been fascinating, even as the online bracelet events grab some attention.
Ermanno Di Nicola, one of the Italian champions, made headlines by winning the €1,650 (US$1,820) Six Max event, earning €111,250 (US$122,700). This marks Di Nicola’s second WSOPE title after his victory in last year’s Colossus event, where he took home €210,350 (US$232,300). His latest win adds to his growing reputation as a skilled competitor at the WSOPE.
Fellow Italian Alessandro Pichierri also captured his second bracelet this week. Pichierri had previously won the Closer event in 2021, bagging €148,008 (US$156,700). This time, he triumphed in the high-stakes €25,000 (US$27,600) event, walking away with an impressive €335,900 (US$370,00). Although the tournament had a small overlay, it didn’t deter Pichierri from seizing the victory.
With these wins, all eyes are now on the upcoming big events at WSOPE, particularly the €50,000 (US$55,000) Super High Roller and the €10,350 (US$11,450) Main Event, both expected to attract significant attention from poker enthusiasts.
These latest achievements by Di Nicola and Pichierri reinforce Italy’s growing presence in the international poker scene, proving that WSOPE continues to offer exciting opportunities for poker players to solidify their legacies.
