Daniel Dvoress picks up his second WSOP bracelet and adds over $100K to his bankroll
Daniel Dvoress won his first World Series of Poker bracelet at the WSOP Online’ Millionaire Maker.’ It took a few more years for Dvoress to win his second at the 2023 WSOP Europe €25,000 ($26,712) buy-in No-Limit Hold’em GGMillion€ at King’s Resort Rozvadov, beating out 89 players. The $636,000 top prize increased his career earnings to over $30.4 million.
Fourteen players finished in the money at the event, splitting a $2,204,727 prize pool. Dvoress entered the final table with 45 big blinds, with two-time bracelet winner Martin Kabrhel leading with 124 big blinds.
Jerry Odeen (9th for $57,346) and Tamas Adamszky (8th for $70,172) were the first two players knocked out, with Cedric Schwaederle the next to go down after falling in seventh place for $87,874. Niklas Astedt would be eliminated next in sixth for $112,996 after losing to Kabrhel preflop and was soon sent home by Michael Rocco.
Leonard Maue finished in 5th place, cashing $148,718, and Gab Yong Kim pushed in his last chips, holding A-9 suited against Dvoress’ pocket sevens, picking up a gutshot straight draw on the flop but got no help on the turn and river to take $200,340 for fourth place.
Kabrhel’s K-Q would then lose against Dvoress’ pocket nines, which drew a third nine on the river to knock him out in 3rd place for $275,600, increasing his lifetime earnings to $11.4 million.
Dvoress held a 28,175,000 to 16,325,000 chip lead over Rocco in heads-up play, with the final hand ending after Dvoress picked up deuces full of eights to win the title. Rocco would secure $386,000 for second place, the fifth biggest cash of his career.
