The 2024 poker tourney calendar continues to shape up with hot events
Turning Stone Resort Casino will host the world’s best players again this year as part of the World Series of Poker. The 12-day WSOP Circuit Event kicks off from March 14 to 25 and features several satellites leading up to the main circuit events, which began on January 14 and continue through February 25.
The guaranteed prize pool has increased from last year’s $1 million minimum to $2.5 million. $5.4 million in winnings was awarded at last year’s event. Eighteen WSOP Gold Rings will be up for grabs, along with the WSOP Circuit event trophy and a ticket to play in the $1 million WSOP Tournament of Champions this summer in Las Vegas. A new tournament at this year’s series will be a three-day $1 million event starting on March 21.
This will be the third WSOP event held at Turning Stone, which is owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation and the only Northeast casino to hold a WSOP circuit event. Less than 20 are held throughout the country each year.
This year’s series has increased the number of tables from 75 to 85. The Monster Stack event was the most popular tournament last year and returns with a $200,000 minimum guarantee, up from $100,000 last year. The Seniors Tournament and Ladies Tournament are also back in 2024.
Last year’s series was a huge success. Players traveled to the 2023 WSOP event at Turning Stone from 38 states and Canada, drawing more than 14,650 player entries.
