It’s almost time for one of the biggest poker tournament series of the year
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has released its schedule for the upcoming 55th edition, with 95 bracelet events taking place at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas beginning on May 28 and running through July 17. The $10,000 buy-in Main Event will kick off on July 3.
Several new events have been added to the schedule this year, including the opening tournament, the $5,000 Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout, featuring past Main Event champions who all carry a bounty worth a free entry into this year’s Main Event.
“With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers, and everyone in between. If you’re a poker player, there is simply no experience on earth like the World Series of Poker,” said Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the WSOP, in a statement.
Several new tournaments will be featured on the 2024 schedule, including a $5,000 buy-in Seniors High Roller event for players 50 and older, an Independence Day celebration event, a PokerNews Deep stack Championship and a $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em tournament during the Main Event for players who are eliminated early.
Players who busted early at the Main Event can also enter the $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship, a four-day event that starts on July 11.
Twenty-seven championship events are scheduled in 2024, including the $50,000 Poker Players Championship mixed-game event beginning on June 23. In addition, high-rollers have nearly a dozen events with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 up to the $250,000 Super High Roller event on June 21. There’s also a $100,000 High Roller taking place on June 18.
Satellites to all the events will be available for buy-ins as low as $120, as well as daily deep stack events.
