Texas Card House will host the first-ever WSOPC event in Texas next year
The WSOP Circuit is finally making its way to Texas, marking the first time the series will stop in the state. Austin is set to host the historic event in spring 2026, with Texas Card House serving as the venue. The move follows years of legal hurdles that kept major poker brands from entering the Texas market despite its large and loyal player base.
The Lone Star State has long operated without traditional casino card rooms due to strict gambling laws. Instead, the state relies on membership-based poker clubs that avoid charging rake by using hourly or daily seat fees. Texas Card House is one of the largest operators in this system, and its Austin location, TCH Social, will be home to the debut WSOP Circuit stop.
The announcement comes on the heels of a legal win for Texas Card House, whose Dallas branch recently secured the right to operate under its membership model after a long fight with local officials. That ruling brought clarity to the industry and signaled that legal poker has room to grow in Texas. Hosting a WSOP Circuit stop now adds national recognition to that progress.
Texas Card House will serve as the exclusive WSOP Circuit partner in the state, with the full schedule for the Austin series expected to be released soon. CEO Ryan Crow said the partnership is something the company has worked toward for years and represents a milestone for Texas poker players.
The arrival of the WSOP Circuit also intensifies competition among major poker brands. Austin has already hosted major tournaments, including a WPT Prime Championship event at the Lodge Card Club. With both the WPT and WSOP now active in the region, players can expect larger prize pools and more robust series in the years ahead.
For Texas poker fans, the upcoming WSOP Circuit stop is more than a new tournament. It is a sign that the state is gaining long-awaited recognition within the broader poker scene.
