The poker tournament will take place from July 11 to July 17
The World Poker Tour is heading back to the Las Vegas Strip this summer with the 2025 WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship. The event, scheduled for July 11 to 17, will take place at the Venetian Resort and features a $5,000 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of $4 million.
This marks WPT’s first championship event at the Venetian since 2022. That year, Robert Mizrachi topped a field of 1,178 players to win nearly $900,000 and his first WPT title. The upcoming edition brings the event back into the spotlight with some upgrades, including a newly built livestreaming studio that will host coverage of the final table.
Players will again be competing for a place on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup, keeping the tradition alive for one of the tour’s key summer stops. The championship also lands in the middle of the Venetian’s DeepStack Championship Poker Series, which draws thousands of players throughout the season.
The Venetian’s poker room has undergone major changes since the WPT last visited. The space has been fully renovated and, according to the resort’s poker operations director Tommy Larosa, it’s now the largest dedicated poker venue on the Strip. The updated setup is expected to improve both the player experience and the tournament’s production value.
This event continues the long-running partnership between the WPT and the Venetian. With a strong prize pool, high-level competition, and a prime location, the 2025 WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship is set to be one of the key highlights on the summer tournament calendar. Poker fans and players alike will be keeping an eye on the action when cards go in the air this July.
