A successful series just 10 months ago paved the way for the WSOP’s return
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) will host one of Europe’s biggest poker series when it returns this summer for the 2024 edition of the WSOPC Tallinn festival from the Olympic Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park. The series runs from July 19 to July 28 at the Olympic Casino and the Hilton Tallinn and features 12 WSOPC ring events, capped off by the €1,500 buy-in €1 million guaranteed Main Event on the final day.
The WSOP Tallinn festival debuted last September and boasted solid attendance throughout the series. A wide range of poker variations and formats will be featured again in 2024, including Open Face Chinese, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, 8-Game, and Pot-Limit SVITEN.
Buy-ins for the 12 ring and 41 side events range from €150 to €3,000. Players can also earn a seat to the 2024 Main event via online satellites offered at OlyBet Poker leading up to the series.
A new addition to the 2024 WSOPC Tallinn is the €250 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event, which will run for two days beginning on July 22. OlyBet will host a live satellite tournament where the top five finishers can earn a seat at the table.
Ignacio Garrido Gonzalez is expected to return and defend his title after navigating through 718 players to win the 2023 Main Event and the WSOPC ring. However, he wasn’t the biggest winner at the festival after taking home the €100,350 ($107,324) top prize. That distinction went to Akseli Paalanen of Finland, who finished in 4th place but banked €141,850 ($151,709) after cutting a six-way deal.
