Big prizes await poker players in several tournaments coming this summer
The upcoming 2024 Wynn Summer Classic poker series will take place at the magnificent Wynn Las Vegas from May 22 through July 17. A whopping 98 tournaments and more than $37 million in prize money will be distributed among the winners.
The highlight of the series is the $10,400 No-Limit Hold ’em Summer Championship, which guarantees a prize pool of $10,000,000 and runs from June 28 to July 3. Three starting flights are available between June 28 and June 30, followed by three more days of intense action to determine a champion.
The schedule also boasts an exciting trio of events known as the WPT Alpha8 Trifecta. All feature a $25,000 buy-in and are conducted as two-day tournaments on June 25, July 3, and July 10. These events have awarded top payouts exceeding seven figures to some of the biggest names in poker, including Steve O’Dwyer ($1,009,520), Ren Lin ($1,045,781), and Jonathan Jaffe ($1,537,600).
“We are honored to include the WPT Alpha8 Trifecta as a part of our Wynn Summer Classic,” said Ryan Beauregard, Wynn Las Vegas Executive Director of Poker Operations. “The Alpha8 moniker has an impressive history of past champions, and I look forward to treating each and every player to the full Wynn player experience.”
The series offers multiple exciting games and formats, with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $25,000. Besides the Summer Championship, there are eight multi-flight events and several other tournaments, including the mystery bounty, the ‘Century’ No-Limit Hold ’em progressive knockout, various mixed games, and individual ladies’ and seniors’ events.
