The debut of the new poker tournament series will take place early next year
The SiGMA Poker Tour is set to make its debut in 2025, with scheduled stops in Brazil and Malta. Announced by Operations Manager Ivonne Montealgre, the tour aims to bring together players from all skill levels for high-stakes tournaments while advancing SiGMA’s broader mission of connecting the gaming industry globally. The Brazil leg will host the inaugural Hendon Mob Latam Championships (THMC Latam), reflecting SiGMA’s collaboration with The Hendon Mob, a renowned authority in poker player rankings.
Brazil’s growing poker scene offers a promising start for this ambitious tour. Roland Boothby of The Hendon Mob emphasized Brazil’s untapped potential in live events and highlighted the fun, dynamic nature of Brazilian players. This initiative aligns with the Hendon Mob Championships’ expansion across five continents, promoting poker’s growth while drawing new participants to the game.
SiGMA’s commitment to integrating gaming with philanthropy sets the tour apart. Chief Philanthropist Keith Marshall shared plans to dedicate portions of side-event buy-ins to local charitable projects. These efforts include empowering women in Africa, housing projects in the Philippines, and providing reconstructive surgeries for children in Colombia.
The combination of business, poker, and philanthropy positions the SiGMA Poker Tour as more than just a competitive series. Founder Eman Pulis described it as a platform to elevate poker’s profile while connecting players to SiGMA’s expansive network.
By merging high-stakes tournaments with charity and networking, the tour is expected to attract a diverse range of participants and set new standards for poker events. With its blend of competition and social impact, the 2025 SiGMA Poker Tour is shaping up to be a defining event for the poker world.
