Antonio Esfandiari is confirmed for the poker tournament next month in Las Vegas
The upcoming Big Deal for One Drop poker tournament at Resorts World Las Vegas is shaping up to be an impressive event. Taking place on November 22 during Formula 1 weekend, the tournament will feature prominent poker professionals, including Antonio Esfandiari, who famously won the inaugural Big One for One Drop event in 2012. Esfandiari, known as “The Magician,” will be joined by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, who has been a strong supporter of the charity-focused event.
The $10,000 buy-in tournament is part of a collaboration between the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the One Drop Foundation, an organization dedicated to addressing water and climate challenges. Poker fans can expect to see more than just seasoned poker players, as racing legends such as David Coulthard, Martin Brundle, and Alex Wurz are also scheduled to participate.
WPT has announced several high-value prizes for the event, adding to the excitement. Among them are exclusive VIP experiences for the Singapore and Montreal Grand Prix events, including luxury hospitality packages and tickets. Music fans can also look forward to a once-in-a-lifetime experience with DJ Steve Aoki, who will offer a meet-and-greet and an exclusive DJ booth session. In addition, an ultra-limited-edition Gran Embajador Tequila valued at over $10,000 will be up for grabs.
Phil Hellmuth, another poker legend, will serve as the event’s emcee. He has a history of raising substantial funds through charity events, and this tournament is expected to continue that trend. The One Drop Foundation, alongside the WPT Foundation, has raised over $75 million since 2012, and this event promises to add even more to that total while raising awareness for vital environmental causes.
