The tournament will be held at the casino starting on March 13
Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY, is set to welcome the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) once again, with events kicking off on March 13. This marks the second consecutive year the casino will host a series of WSOP competitions, drawing in poker players nationwide. The upcoming tournament series promises exciting action, with 18 gold rings up for grabs and a guaranteed prize pool of at least $2.63 million.
Last year’s WSOPC event at Turning Stone saw 1,188 participants compete for a total prize pool of over $1.8 million. The championship title went to Brooklyn’s Ethan Bennett, who walked away with nearly $300,000 after defeating Kathrine Brandt in the final round. With an even larger prize pool guaranteed this year, interest in the event is expected to be high.
The tournament schedule includes various events catering to different bankrolls and playing styles. The series opens with a $400 No-Limit Hold’em 30K Opener on March 13 at 11:00 AM. The highly anticipated $1,700 Main Event will run from March 20-22, offering players a shot at a major payday. The series wraps up with a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Double Stack event on March 24. Players can register in person at the casino up until the day of each competition, provided they cover the buy-in fee.
WSOPC events take place throughout the year at various casinos nationwide. While Turning Stone hosts its leg of the series, Hard Rock Tulsa in Oklahoma is running a concurrent event. In April, the circuit will make stops in Illinois and Mississippi before culminating in Las Vegas for the main WSOPC tournament, where players from all over the world will compete for poker’s most coveted titles.
