Kings Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik has reportedly sold his controlling interest in the casino
According to a recent report by Hochgepokert, Europe’s home of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the largest poker venue on the continent has been sold.
Leon Tsoukernik has retired from the casino business and sold his stake in the Kings Casino Prague, Kings Hotel Resort, and the Admiral Casino. He was the majority shareholder and sold his 60% of the business to minority owner Scott Hanna and a second unnamed person. Hanna will take over control of the venue and handle its day-to-day operations.
I want to congratulate my old friend Leon @PokerroomKings on the sale of his business. Glad he got a good price and it shows hard work and dedication pays off. He can now enjoy cash games and live like a king 👑 https://t.co/8aMT8JGQZz

The total value of the sale is estimated to be between €300 million and €400 million (US$322 and $430 million).
Tsoukernik said that he and his former partner are parting ways on good terms. He’s planning on new business endeavors while spending more time with his family. He’ll also remain a fixture at Kings, where he’ll have time to participate in more poker games.
As the owner of Kings, his two main goals were to host the WSOPE and the European Poker Tour (EPT). The WSOPE is already established at Rozvadov, with this year’s event scheduled for September, and the venue in Prague recently hosted an EPT event.
Tsoukernik is also a seasoned high roller. His biggest win came at the 2019 WSOPE €100,000 Short Deck High Roller event, where he beat Phil Ivey heads-up to take home €1.1 million (US$1.2 million).
Poker enthusiasts from Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic should be excited about Kings Casino’s future. Players from these countries regularly travel to the venue near the Czech border.
