The latest stop on the WSOPC tour kicks off on March 6
The quest to crown a new World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) champion officially begins with the Hard Rock Tulsa Circuit, running from March 6-18.
The series will have 47 events spread over 13 days, including the No-Limit Hold ’em Championship tournament kicking off on Friday, March 15, and finishing on Monday, March 18. The event also features 13 WSOP Circuit Ring events, two seniors No-Limit Hold ’em events, and a ladies’ tournament. Buy-ins for the events range between $140 to $1,700, with satellite qualifiers featuring buy-ins ranging from $75 to $250.
Events on the WSOP Circuit are a succession of poker tournaments held at various venues throughout the US and internationally, commencing in early August each year and running through the following summer. The highlighted event is the $1,000,000 Global Casino Championship, where the winner takes home a WSOP gold bracelet.
The WSOP circuit event is the second at Hard Rock Tulsa during the 2023-24 season. Last August, Wichita native Mark Barrientos overcame a field of 397 players to take the victory in Hard Rock Tulsa’s Main Event for a top prize of $126,920 and his second career ring. The win also secured him a seat at the $1,000,000 Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas later this year.
There are several ways to qualify for the 2024 Global Casino Championship. Players can win a Circuit Main Event at any domestic or international event or win a Casino Championship by becoming the player who accumulates the most points at each stop during the 12 events on the gold ring schedule. Players can also qualify by finishing in the top 50 in points at the end of the season if they haven’t otherwise qualified on the domestic tour.
