The event and its massive prize pool are coming this September
The Reserve Social Club in Toledo, Ohio is gearing up for one of its biggest events yet, teaming up with the Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) to host a $1,000,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em tournament. The $600 buy-in main event will run from September 18 to 28, offering poker players a rare chance to compete for a seven-figure prize pool at a mid-range entry price.
The tournament will feature 11 starting flights, with ten of them beginning daily at noon, and a final turbo flight scheduled for 6:00 PM on September 27. Players will start with 40,000 chips, with an optional $20 dealer add-on granting an additional 10,000.
Levels last 30 minutes on the first ten flights, while the turbo will run with 15-minute levels. Unlimited re-entries and late registration are open until the start of level nine. Anyone who makes it through their starting flight will already be in the money when day 2 begins, which will feature 40-minute blind levels.
The Reserve isn’t new to hosting large-scale poker events. Co-owners Jim Kanderski and Marissa Rodriguez, both longtime players, launched the club during the pandemic. Since then, it has grown to over 4,500 members and built a reputation for providing high-value tournaments with attractive structures. The club’s 10,000-square-foot venue houses 36 tables and is home to the “Live At The Reserve” livestream studio, which broadcasts major events and regular cash game action.
Satellite events for the CPPT main event will run nightly from September 17–26, offering a $130 buy-in and a 30,000-chip starting stack. These feeders allow players to secure their seats in the main event at a fraction of the cost.
The Reserve continues to be a driving force in Ohio poker, and this fall’s $1 million guaranteed event is shaping up to be a major highlight on the regional poker calendar.
