The Texas poker community is preparing for a significant milestone as the largest card room in the state prepares to reopen its doors on May 26 at 9:00 AM. After facing a period of forced closure and intense legal scrutiny, the venue has been cleared of all wrongdoing.
This comeback marks the end of a turbulent chapter for the Round Rock establishment, which serves as a central hub for regional players. The reopening coincides with the start of major summer tournaments elsewhere, signaling a triumphant return for the Texas poker scene.
The legal challenges began in March when state authorities conducted a raid that led to the temporary suspension of all activities. Investigators initially raised concerns regarding the legality of the business model, but a grand jury declined to pursue any criminal charges in late April.
This decision mandated the return of all seized property, including substantial amounts of cash that had been held by the state. With the legal cloud removed, the ownership group has moved quickly to restore the facility and rehire the staff necessary to manage nearly 70 tables.
Players returning to the venue will notice immediate changes to the amenities and the tournament schedule. While cash games will resume immediately, the first day will also feature a series of affordable tournaments starting with a $50 No-Limit Hold’em event.
Beyond the gaming floor, the club has introduced a new dining experience called Frank and Margie’s, which focuses on Italian-American dishes. This culinary addition is expected to serve both the poker players and the local neighborhood.
The revival of the facility also means the return of its popular digital content, which boasts over 239,000 subscribers. Fans and employees alike are looking forward to the restoration of the livestream and the typical high-energy atmosphere of the room.
