There will be an additional bracelet event this year, taking the number to 100
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has officially unveiled the complete schedule for its 2025 edition, marking the biggest lineup in the event’s history. Set to take place from May 27 to July 16 at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos, this year’s series will feature 100 bracelet events, one more than the 2024 schedule.
Among the notable additions are six new tournaments, including a $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller and an event called Battle of the Ages. The latter, scheduled for June 22, will divide players into two groups based on age, with those 50 and older playing in one flight while younger participants enter another. The survivors from both groups will merge the following day to continue their competition.
The Main Event remains a $10,000 buy-in freezeout, ensuring no re-entries. This format has produced record-breaking participation over the last two years, surpassing 10,000 entrants each time. With growing interest in the WSOP, officials hope to continue this trend in 2025. The prestigious Poker Players Championship, which carries a $50,000 buy-in, also returns, as does the Super High Roller event with its massive $250,000 entry fee.
Other changes include the renaming of the $800 Summer Celebration, which coincides with the early stages of the Main Event, and the introduction of a $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. event. This mixed-game format replaces Texas Hold’em from the traditional H.O.R.S.E. event with 2-7 Triple Draw, a variation gaining popularity on the WSOP Circuit.
While details about the online bracelet events have yet to be announced, last year’s schedule included 30 tournaments, giving players in New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan a chance to compete remotely. With anticipation building, Sin City is once again set to host poker’s most prestigious event, drawing thousands of players worldwide.
