This collaboration marks the first time the tournament series will accept digital assets directly for entry fees. It arrives at almost the same time there has been backlash over concerns about intensified scrutiny of the sources of funds players are presenting in cash to participate in events.
The arrangement relies on payment infrastructure from MoonPay to let competitors purchase tournament buy-ins using cryptocurrency. Because the network features high speed and efficiency, players using this method will face 0% processing fees during the summer events at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas. This payment setup addresses the long-standing demand within the gambling community for faster and more transparent borderless financial tools.
The digital integration will expand further during the winter event in The Bahamas, where winners can receive their tournament payouts in stablecoins. This process ensures near-instant international settlements and removes the traditional payment friction that global players face when moving large funds across borders. The blockchain network has already proven its capability as a massive digital economy, recording more than $4 trillion in trading volume over recent years.
The relationship extends past financial logistics to include various promotional and community events. The foundation plans to sponsor specific player ambassadors throughout the tournament schedule and host exclusive hospitality experiences at the tournament venues.
