The festival runs from March 24 to March 29 at the Casino de Marrakech
The Marrakech Poker Open is returning this month in Marrakech, continuing a long tradition that stretches back more than two decades. The upcoming festival marks the 67th edition of the series and will take place from March 24 to March 29. Organizers have kept the same location while making a few adjustments to the overall schedule.
The event will once again be hosted at the Casino de Marrakech inside the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort. This year’s festival is slightly shorter than previous editions, running for six days rather than spreading across a longer week of tournaments. The goal is to keep the focus on the main competitions while still offering a variety of events.
The centerpiece of the festival is the Main Event, which carries a MAD15,000 ($1,650) buy-in. Play begins on March 26 with a starting stack of 50,000 chips and 45-minute blind levels. Competitors will have three entry flights, including Day 1A on March 26, Day 1B on March 27, and a turbo Day 1C also scheduled for March 27.
Surviving players will return for Day 2 on March 28. The final table and the crowning of the champion are scheduled for March 29. Satellite tournaments are planned throughout the festival, allowing players to qualify for the Main Event at a lower cost.
Higher-stakes options are also part of the schedule. The High Roller tournament features a MAD20,000 ($2,200) buy-in, while the Super High Roller raises the entry fee to MAD30,000 ($3,300). These events are designed for players looking to compete in bigger buy-in fields.
Several side tournaments will run during the week as well. Events such as the Opener, MonsterStack, Progressive KO, and Mystery Bounty will give players different formats to choose from. Shorter nightly No-Limit Hold’em tournaments are also planned.
Travel packages are available for visitors who want accommodation and tournament access combined. Options include full-week packages, VIP packages with high-roller seats, and shorter stays that focus mainly on the Main Event and side tournaments.
