The author of The Pursuit of Poker Success continues to focus on the popularity of the game
Lance Bradley, a well-known figure in the poker media world, has launched a new project that aims to bring fresh and engaging poker coverage to fans. His new Substack newsletter, The Overlay, will feature in-depth stories, interviews, and commentary, giving readers insight into the game and its key players.
Bradley, an award-winning journalist and author of The Pursuit of Poker Success, has built a reputation for telling compelling poker stories. He sees The Overlay as an opportunity to continue that work while exploring new creative directions. The newsletter, which is currently free to subscribe to, will be entirely written by Bradley. In addition to original content, he plans to highlight quality work from other poker outlets, including PokerNews, vlogs, and podcasts.
Having worked with major poker media brands such as BLUFF Magazine, Pocket Fives, and the World Poker Tour (WPT), Bradley is one of the most respected voices in the industry. He believes that The Overlay will give him the flexibility to focus on the people and stories that make the poker world unique.
Rather than covering tournament recaps or breaking news, his goal is to create two issues per week, plus an additional feature each month. He also recognizes the rising popularity of email newsletters and sees this as an ideal way to connect with an audience that appreciates long-form storytelling.
Bradley recently attended the Global Poker Awards, where he was nominated for Written Content of the Year. He also had the honor of presenting the Journalist of the Year award to his long-time friend and colleague, Brad Willis. While his focus is now on building The Overlay, Bradley has confirmed that he will be at the WSOP Main Event this summer, continuing to bring poker fans the stories they love.
