Kasey Lyn collects two rings during the 12-day poker tournament series
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) has completed its successful series at WSOPC Choctaw, which ran from January 3-14 at the Choctaw Casino Resort. The stop included 18 Ring events with buy-ins starting at $250 up to $1,700 for the Main Event, and poker personality and commentator Kasey Lyn Mills was one of the big stories of the series, taking down two of the events.
Mills has been a commentator on Stones Live Poker and has played in several past televised events, including the Ladies Cash Game at the 2023 WPT World Championship. She won a Circuit ring in Event #13: $1,000 Monster Stack for $66,009. Mills followed up her win with a second ring in Event #16: $400 No-Limit Hold’em – The Finale, taking a $22,433 first-place prize.
The Oklahoma native beat a final table that included two other women. Jacqueline Gomez finished as runner-up ($13,865), and Tetiana Zaitseva would take third place ($9,907). “I am amazed by what I saw tonight from all the women playing and supporting each other,” said Mills in a social media post following the win. “Almost all of these women in my rail photo are (ring) winners.”
Mills now has $303,944 in career earnings, according to the Hendon Mob, and had a big group of supporters at the rail to help celebrate her second Ring victory, with her son being her biggest supporter.
The $1,700 buy-in Main Event at the WSOPC Choctaw stop drew 851 entries for a $1.2 million prize pool. Jonathan Glendinning from Colorado would take down the field to win his first Circuit ring and $231,832.
The next stop on the WSOP Circuit is at Thunder Valley Casino Resort from January 11-22, with the $1,700 buy-in Main Event on January 19.
